Hugo Alexander Cruz Machado is a Cuban-born, award winning, international drummer, composer and leader of the group Caminos, who fuse rhythms and melodies of Afro-Cuban, Cuban, and American origin, in an original contemporary expression that honors traditional Cuban form. Punto de Partida is Caminos' first album release, featuring musicians from Cuba and the United States.
